Below is the typical student progression. Most students take 2-3 3hr lessons to learn kiteboarding. We are professional instructors who carry liability insurance in all our lessons and earn a living doing only this. All equipment is the newest on the market and is provided for all lessons. Kiteboarding lessons include Jet Ski support and all instruction is 1 on 1, but if you want to bring friends it is half price for each additional person. We can teach up to 3 students per instructor.
All lessons are $100/hr, but discounts may apply during the week and with groups and can be booked 7-days a week at any of our locations

A 3 hour intermediate lesson quickly refreshes your kite skills, reviews body dragging and focuses on riding proficiency. You and your XLKITES instructor will work on getting the board on your feet, diving the kite, and going for your first rides. The time spent learning the nuances of the kite in an introductory lesson will pay off as you can focus your attention on gaining board skills.
All kiteboarding gear is provided during lessons, including helmets and flotation vests. You will be riding brand new gear from all the top manufactures like Cabrinha, Slingshot, Liquid Force, Globekite, Litewave, Ocean Rodeo, and DaKine. We do all of our lessons on "bow" kites to provide maximum safety and performance. Xlkites instruction is highly hands on - we'll be in the water with you on the coldest winter day! School kites and boards allow you the opportunity to try out the newest equipment from all the leading kiteboard manufacturers. When it's time for your own setup, you'll already have a good idea of what works best for you and can invest wisely, knowing that we'll give you the soundest advice around.
You can email or call us to inquire about scheduling a lesson. We're always open, just contact us and we'll work kiteboarding lessons into your schedule. We've even been known to give the occassional midnight lesson in order to make it happen.
