Give the gift of kiteboarding to your loved one! Great idea for anyone who wants to improve their kiteboarding skills. Most people need at least 2 or 3 half days lessons (3hr each), which are 1 on 1 with an XLKITES instructor. You can buy gift certificates for the complete 2-3 lesson program upfront and save 15% off. This includes all equipment, instructor and jet ski support. When you buy a gift certificate from XLKITES we will mail a certificate to whom ever you choose for thier special ocassion.

The Half Day Kiteboarding Lesson covers everything in the introductory and half day lesson. Your instructor will introduce you to kite boards, bindings, how to get up and ride, and the proper body posture while riding. Safety while riding is extremely important, so safety features will be covered in-depth, including how to do a self-rescue while in the water. Jet ski support will be provided by your XLKITES instructor while you practice riding down-winders and they will also take you back upwind to ride again. Ultimately this lesson will get you out there and started in your kiteboarding education.

All gear is provided during lessons, including helmets and flotation vests. Instruction is highly hands on - we'll be in the water with you on the coldest winter day! School kites and boards allow you the opportunity to try out the newest equipment from all the leading manufacturers. When it's time for your own setup, you'll already have a good idea of what works best for you and can invest wisely, knowing that we'll give you the soundest advice around.
