XL Kites is the best place to take lessons for kiteboarding, powered paragliding or flying that other powered hanglider thing. I have only taken kiteboarding lessons from them, but their employees were very knowledgable, patient and excellent teachers. I had no experience riding any kind of board and very very little experience with any kind of kites and I was up and riding the first day! Although I felt slightly bad about it, I was still going to try to find cheaper gear to buy elsewhere online. But to my surprise XL had the best deals I could find! These guys are very helpful and excited about their sports. Even after my lesson I would see them on the beach and they would always help me and give me tips on how to get better.
